K.V. Koraput is situated in the heart of the city catering to the educational needs of the children of defence personnel, Central Govt. employees, autonomous bodies, state govt. employees and even the unemployed local people. The school has all the facilities, an educational institution can aspire for. The teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas are a class by themselves. They have to proceed themselves through three labyrinths of competitive written examinations and as a finale the interview. Since the process of sieving and screening is really difficult, only the highly talented will figure in the final round and the interview. Hence, it can be proudly proclaimed that they are the very best teachers.

Our Mission

KVS has a four fold mission viz:-  To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education. To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.
